1990 was 23 years ago…. let that sink in
fuck you all i thought it was funny
My favourite thing is the implication that there was a widespread movement of kicking sinks out of their homes back in 1990.
It’s like you’ve gone away.
But nobody talks about Snow Queen (2002) WHERE PLANET THAT CAME FROM??? So sad to think I couldn’t see any gif from that awesome movie (series; i guess)
I’ve seen it! It’s extremely long but still a good movie. I also like to make GIFs so if you’d like some let me know :)
my mum likes to play this game called yell from 4 rooms away and get upset when i can’t hear her
AAAARGH. Don’t get me started on how much I hate this type of comment. Seriously. I was watching a brilliant Jelsa video on YouTube earlier today and this comment showed up and ruined my day. I also hate when people hate on Jelsa just because it’s a crossover ship. I only recently got into crossovers, and if people want to ship a crossover ship, why not just let them? There’s also the matter of age. Elsa is 21, while Jack, though he is immortal, is 17. That’s no big deal, even though Elsa will get older. I think of it as like Peter Pan, where in the sequel Peter (who still hasn’t grown up) visits a now adult Wendy. And I STILL ship them together because love is love. No need to make a big deal about shipping people who are years apart in age.
I tend to think of Elsa as the male Jack and vice versa, but there is more to Jack and Elsa than the fact that they both have ice powers. I made a similar post earlier this year, but here I go again. They both have ice powers, yes, but there’s more. They both have a younger sister who they care about. They both have someone who will always believe in them, even if others don’t (Anna and Jamie). They are both misunderstood by others who fear them to be evil, when they’re not. They both wear the colour blue. They both feel “free” and often use their magical powers when they have their own independence to save themselves from hurting anyone.
The fact that they both have/long for their independence gives them something to relate to, although they both have different situations. Elsa is a Queen. She has a kingdom to rule over and people expect her to. On top of this she isolates herself from her sister, Anna, in order to protect her. Jack on the other hand died centuries ago and lives on as a spiritual being who only certain people believe in. So while Jack can enjoy all the freedom he likes, Elsa just chooses to for the sake of protecting herself and others. Not to mention, Elsa’s powers are uncontrollable, although like Jack, she can also use them at free will.
As I mentioned before, both of them have a sister whi they care deeply about, which brings another difference. Elsa and Anna reunite, due to the latter searching for her, whilst Jack can never be reunited with his sister as he died centuries ago. I tend to think of Jack’s relationship with Jamie as a brotherly relationship and a parallel to Elsa’s relationship with Anna. Jamie was the one person who stood by and believed in Jack, thus preventing him from ceasing to exist, the same way Anna saved Elsa from being killed by Hans.
So there. While they have things in common, they have their differences. I can imagine fanfics where they get together and discuss these things, thus each giving the other someone to relate to. So there.
Where are these kids parents? How are they allowed to become intergalactic warriors with giant dinosaur robots?
Idina Menzel coming out of her show, If/Then, to go straight to the Tonys. She’s so gorgeous and ethereal.
Is it me or is Idina ALWAYS wearing that magenta colour? It’s on her official site, her Glee promo pic, in the music video for Brave, in several other pictures, and now here. It seems to be her trademark colour… and I like it :D
